Responsible for the design and development of enterprise Java applications assuring that the technical design of delivered solutions matches the defined software architecture and also the functional requirements in terms of usability, efficiency, reliability, availability, security and scalability.
*Design and deliver solutions in accordance with the defined Technical Architecture. *Review designs and software developed within team to ensure it is in accordance with the defined Technical Architecture. *Ensure delivered solutions are able to scale to the agreed user concurrency and maintain high availability. *Liaise with infrastructure and data support services ensuring network, security and database integrity for all software systems developed by Software Development. *Assist in the establishment of and follow design standards, design patterns and best practices. *Provide technical expertise in the diagnosis and resolution of issues, including the determination and provision of workaround solutions. *Create documentation for all levels of software development life cycle. *Assist in the production of estimates for work ensuring estimates are realistic and achievable. *Coaching & development of developers to maximize their full potential. *Takes full ownership of all assigned tasks ensuring objectives are met. *Meets expected standards such as accuracy, thoroughness and correctness in all assigned work.
Requirements:
Technical Requirements *Over all experience in software industry 8+ years.
Significant experience (5 + years) in the following is required: *Java (J2SE and JEE) design and development *JavaServer Pages *SQL92 compliant database design and development
Experience in the following is desired: *JavaServer Faces *Oracle10g (SQL and PL/SQL) *Oracle JDeveloper 10g (including ADF) *Oracle Application Server 10g *UML design *Web services *Agile Methodology
Experience in the following is a plus: *Oracle WebLogic *Microsoft technologies *Oracle eBusiness Suite *OpenText Livelink *Lightweight Java Frameworks (Spring etc.) *BPEL
Additional Requirements: *Candidates responding to this posting must currently possess the eligibility to work in the United States and not need sponsorship in the future.
